From keen amateur to enlightened connoisseur, the Cité des Climats et vins de Bourgogne invites you to discover all the riches of the famous Bourgogne wine region, its heritage, and will offer fun, sensory and educational experiences.
Each site provides an introduction to Bourgogne wines, and covers the entire wine region from three emblematic cities:
Each Cité will value its territory, its wines, its identity and will be an invitation to visit the vineyard.
Beaune, the capital of the winegrowing region, is the biggest of the three sites and will embody the history, the know-how and the heritage of the whole Bourgogne region.
Chablis highlights the fabulous richness of the vineyards of northern Bourgogne: Chablis, Grand Auxerrois and Châtillonnais… while Mâcon focuses on the vineyards of Mâconnais, Côte Chalonnaise and Côtes du Couchois.
A true multi-sensory immersion, the visit tour of each site makes you discover the infinite cultural richness and diversity of Bourgogne wines. From the origin of terroirs to the wine in the glass, all your senses are awakened to understand this unique wine culture. The little extra? A tasting of two glasses of wine is offered at the end of the tour!
In the Cité in Beaune, a specific space is dedicated to the Climats of Bourgogne, listed as UNESCO World Heritage.
In addition to the tour, activities and cultural events are offered throughout the year and for all audiences.

By bicycle, by car or on foot, explore some little-used paths to discover the wines of Bourgogne. Created just for you, the region’s tourist trails lead you straight to the door of a range of estates, cooperatives and maisons de négoce. There, you will receive a warm welcome from winegrowers and négociants, and will enjoy tasting wines and exploring the region’s rich heritage.
